Now its time for the big guns to get the V2 treatment. Dreadnought V2 carries the torch forwardinto a new realm of capability, giving riders even more firepower than ever before. Weve takenour next-gen suspension system, seen on the class-leading Druid and Supernought, andapplied it to our revered brawler of a bike. We didnt just up the calibre, add more travel, and callit good. We overhauled every detail to refine and distill its purpose into something thatexhilarates.
The industry’s most refined high pivot layout is now available on our 160mm Enduro/Bike Parkplatform. Dreadnought is a carefully concocted blend of Supernought speed and stability mixedwith Druid’s agility and pop. Delivering a bike that might have you reconsidering wearing afull-face helmet full-time.
Wheel size configuration changes are achieved via modular dropouts. Meaningful geometry andweight bias adjustments are also be made via 27.5 +10mm, 27.5 -10mm, and 29 +10mmdropouts (available soon!). Giving riders the option to customize weight bias and handlingcharacteristics to suit riding style or terrain type. 200mm direct brake mount included asstandard. Dreadnought framekits are sold with MX and 29 dropouts.
Forbideen collaborated with their factory race team and their team of test riders to gather feedback on theO.G. Dreadnought and the current V2 platform bikes. Forbidden opted for a more centered weightdistribution that delivers intuitive handling in all situations and a larger rider sweet spot in thecockpit. Giving riders more confidence and comfort to trust both the bike and themselves whenthings get rowdy.
Still the industrys only truly proportional sizing. Our rear centers change in proportion to ourfront center measurements. And while we often talk about those changes as an increase as wemove up in size, we can also look at it as a decrease when we move in the opposite direction.Our S1 sports some of the smallest reach and rear center measurements of any dual 29 mtb inthe enduro category. The underlying philosophy is to ensure that riders of different sizes canexperience the same intended weight balance and ride characteristics of our bikes.
The goal with Dreadnought V2 was to maintain its uncanny ability to absolutely plough throughrough terrain while giving riders more mid-stroke support to pump and generate speed from theground. Weve done this without giving up any sensitivity and grip, while also improvingbottom-out control and optimizing braking characteristics.
